Hi,
I am trying to figure out a way to use Palo firewall as a DHCP server for a network. The problem is that the DHCP discover/request comes with option 82 and I need the firewall to lease an IP and include option 82 with its original value.
I am running anycast so option 82 is telling my routers where to forward the lease from the DHCP server. I have done some packet captures on my routers and I can see that option 82 is gone from the DHCP offer from the Palo.
Is there a way to do this?

Hi @PhilipV ,
When the firewall is configured as DHCP Server and receives a DHCP Request with Option 82, Palo Alto Networks firewalls do not support this and do not include Option 82 field in the DHCP Offer.
There is however an existing feature request for this. I recommend that you reach out to your sales rep and have him/her add your vote to this request.
Feature Request ID: 10792 (Support for DHCP Option 82).
Cheers !
