PBF Interface Choices

L1 Bithead

I want to set up a policy-based forwarding rule to send all traffic from a particular Source IP out through port ethernet1/8.  I can't figure out how to get "1/8" in my list of interface choices.  All I have to choose from is vlan, loopback and tunnel.

Thanks in advance.

I guess it's a layer 3 interface? I think you actually just need to set the interface type to layer 3 to be able to select it in the PBF policy. However, it wouldn't make much sense to have a L3 interface without configuring an ip-address, zone and virtual router Smiley Happy

Hi,

Have you already configured Eth1/8 with the necessary configuration. If you do not have the interface configured it will not show up under the list to choose in the PBF policy.

Hope this helps.

Thank you

I guess that's where my knowledge breaks down.  What is the "necessary configuration"?
