Hi everyone,
I’m currently having trouble downloading PAN-OS from the Palo Alto Networks website.
In about 2–3 months, I’ll be starting a role as a Network Administrator in a small company where Palo Alto firewalls are already in use. To prepare myself properly, I want to build a virtual lab and practice in advance — configuring interfaces, zones, security policies, NAT, routing, etc.
My goal is to recreate a realistic network environment using a simulator/emulator (for example PA-VM in GNS3/EVE-NG, or any suitable alternative), so I can start deep-diving into Palo Alto before I officially take over the role.
Unfortunately, without access to PAN-OS images, I’m currently blocked.
Could anyone please advise:
How I can legally obtain PAN-OS / PA-VM images for lab and learning purposes
Whether there are trial versions, training resources, or recommended lab setups for beginners
Or any alternative tools that would help me practice Palo Alto concepts effectively
Any guidance or shared experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Plese see attached Image.

Hi @nikakakhiani93 ,
You could try the FUEL User Group lab.

I don't know a lot of people downloading PAN-OS for lab use. Another good place for you to start is here -> https://learn.paloaltonetworks.com/learn/courses/3414/pan-os. It has very good content and good videos of the GUI.
Thanks,
Tom
