Is there any way to block users' uploading attachment for public email (gmail, yahoo mail and hotmail) ? I created a security policy for allowing applications (gmail, hotmail, yahoo-mail) and associated with file blocking profile but didn't work. Please advise if the configuration is correct.

You need to have ssl decryption enabled.
Configure ssl decryption polices for web-based emails, online portal and so, then try file blocking.

hi,
if you want to be sure: create a application filter for example select collaboration - email - browser-based . So you have ensure all browser based email platforms can be handle with the policy you created.
Here are two documents how to enable SSL decryption...

For GMail you also need to block the 'quic' application with a policy that precedes the policy that ties to the File Blocking profile.
