Has anyone connected Nexus 9k to PA 5220 via the QSFP interface?
If so will the Cisco QSFP-H40G-CU3M 40GBASE-CR4 Passive Copper Cable work? Done research but just not 100 percent if it will work.
Thanks!

Quite a late response, but based on our testing, it will not work. We tried a Cisco QSFP-H40G-CU1M and while the 3260 recognized the module, link would never come up. Replacing with a 7M active copper cable worked. We are hoping that a 1M Active Optic cable will work. (Cisco QSFP-H40G-AOC1M)
Edit: fixed typo, the firewall is a PA-3260

Hello,
These should work on the Cisco side:
transceiver is present
type is QSFP-40G-SR-BD
name is CISCO-AVAGO
part number is AFBR-79EBPZ-CS2

So were you replying to me? If so, are you stating that the QSFP-40G-SR-BD is supported by the PaloAlto Networks PA-3260? It is clearly supported by Cisco.
Thanks,
John

Hello @JohnWade,
The short answer would be "Yes".
As OtakarKlier mentioned, QSFP-40G-SR-BD SFPs are compatible with PA- devices and will be visible in the "show system" CLI command, as CISCO-AVAGO. The 1Gbps Cisco SFPs, however, might be seen as CISCO-FINISAR.
I hope this helps.
