Hi Team,
Good day!
My questions is in regards to the HA 2 link. It is a l2 link. However, we can have an IP address on it.
However, lets say that we have no IP address on dedicated HA 2 link on both sides.
Now, If I have a L2 switch in between How will one side come to know about other's MAC address?
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

Hi
The IP address is only used when transport mode is switched to IP or UDP. In ethernet mode the IP is simply disregarded and instead ethertype 0x7261 is used to discover eachother
