Why are You want to do that via USB?

You can upload a firmware to PAN device from your computer on Device > Software and You can do that without internet connections!

Hello Wes,

As SLV said,

1. You can directly download into the firewall and then install it.

OR

2. Download the software on your laptop/desktop from https://support.paloaltonetworks.com/Updates/SoftwareUpdates/245   and upload it manually into the PAN firewall. ( scp import from CLI as well)

But, USB port is currently not supported and please find below related feature requested that already submitted:

Load firmware and weekly updates via USB

FR ID: 2511

Load a configuration via USB memory stick

FR ID: 841

Thanks

It could be interresting to make upgrade directly from a usb stick.

that allow you an upgrade without ip addresse setting and without a browser session.

that could be cool no ??

I agree a USB install + config load would come in handy sometimes.

But I suppose this will not see the light of day, since you need a valid license to be able to upgrade anyway...
