Unable to Launch Global Protect from Start Menu after upgrade to ver 4.1

After I upgraded my Global Protect Client to version 4.1 i was unable to launch Global Protect from the start menu, but had to launch Global Protect using the system tray icon. Has anyone else experienced this issue or have a resolution.

when you say "launch" do you mean "connect",

 

I have never used it this way, always right clicked on sys icon...  connect...

I've always used the systray icon

 

The start menu icon now brings up the same tray window.

Did it bring up the configuration window previously ?

I am creating a bot which requires to disable the global protect as one of its steps. And I have not been able to launch it with windows run or start menu.
