Unable to view Global Protect Authentication Logs

L0 Member

Logged into Panorama CLI and typed this is:

show log system eventid equal globalprotectportal-auth-succ

No logs showed up.  Also tried from the gui:

Monitor > Logs > System and filter using (eventid eq globalprotectportal-auth-succ)

Still nothing...is there a setting that needs to be enabled in order to view the GP auth logs?  Thanks!

If you look at your respective FW and look at its logs, do you see the authentication logs showing up in the system logs?

If yes, then did you (in your template) remember to create a configuration object under the Device Tab in Panorama, to forward FW system/configuration/whatever logs to a log forwarding profile that would include them on the Panorama?

In other words, your users terminate their GP on firewalls, not on panorama, so without fwding system logs from the FWs to the Panorama, your Panorama would not have any GP logs on it.

Hope this makes sense.
