Update Path for User ID Agent

L0 Member

I need to update our User ID Agent from 7.0.0-23  to 8.1.7-5 or 9.0.1-5.  Do I need to follow an upgrade path or can I just go directly to the version needed for the User ID Agent?  Thanks in advance.

@WStrickland,

As this is an application there is no upgrade path for the install, simply install the desired version. Just keep in mind 8.1 modified the default behavior for the format of usernames and make the necessary changes (if any) for your environment.

Ok thanks for the tip.  Will do.

@BPry Would you mind pointing my in the direction of the changes that were made to user-id in 8.1.  Having issues now and am struggling to find the informaiton.

@JesseWilson here are the changes to default behavior:

I'd actually recommend going through all the release notes for it if you're also jumping from 7.0 to 8.1. The primary release notes for the User-ID Agent 8.1 are:

Thank you!
