Upgrade while the /dev/root is high

L2 Linker

Hi,
I'm wondering if I can smoothly upgrade the firewall if the dev/root is above 90%
Note that the /opt/pancfg is at 60%.

Hi @PaloAltorrr ,

Thanks for info, if device have enough space to download the PAN-OS then you will be able to upgrade the device. Again it depends from which version to which version are you trying to upgrade the device.

Regarding root partition disk cleanup:
you can refer the below link to cleanup the root partition.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I had already taken the step, but it still isn't under 90. After the investigation, I found that it needs an upgrade.
Just confirming if 90% root , may cause problem during upgarde.
(pancfg almost 60%)
