URL Filtering License Monitoring

L0 Member

I have a setup where I need to block traffic if our URL filtering license is not working as apposed to letting traffic go out with out the filtering.  I want to monitor this license expiration some how.  I don't want us to find out that our license has expired by end users calling us.  I'm not seeing a way for the device to send email if the license is about to expire or anything.  I'm doubting that I'm the first to deal with this issue so I'm looking for ideas.

Thanks for sharing.

The  Paloalto will generate a syslog messae when the license nears expiration and again when it finally expires. But syslog messages are classified as Info, High, Medium, etc.  You can generate email for an entire classification of syslog events like Critical but you can not pick and choose individual events to sent email.
