User Agent System Requirements

Not applicable

We're running into issues with the Palo Alto User Agent.  It'll run for a few days, then we'll stop getting user information.  When I look at the server running the agent, and try to start the agent, I get a message along the lines of "The paging file is too small for this operation to complete."  We have a dedicated page file volume that's 4GB, and it set to about 1.5GB currently, with system managed sizing.  When I reboot the server, it will work again for a few days.  The box has 512MB of RAM right now.

Any idea on what the system requirements are for the user agent?  Or what else might be causing this problem?

Our engineers have determined that you are experiencing  a memory leak that has been identified as a bug fixed in our 3.1 release, due in mid-March.    The leak occurs occasionally when the User-ID agent is installed on a device using Window 2003 or XP.  You should not have an issue if you install the agent on a Vista or 2008 device.

Hi,

So, is it possible to install the PANAgent (version 3.0.2) in a windows 2008 machine? Is there any requirement we should have in mind?

Regards,

You can load it on Windows 2008 32 or 64-bit.  Minimum requirements are 2.4GHz CPU, 1GB of memory and 100MB available hard drive space.
