Is the reverse pointer configured in your dns server?
For static devices also object address entries could be useful in ACC and traffic logs. Useless in export pdf

A valid DNS configuration.
The definition of "valid" from the PAN device's point of view is forward *and* reverse zone lookups are enabled and accurate.
You can't expect the firewall to resolve if the hostname isn't in the DNS correctly.
