What is the order for upgrading devices?

L2 Linker

I have to upgrade Panorama, several associated PA firewalls, as well as antivirus, applications and threats, and Wildfire content updates.  I am upgrading from 9.0.5 to 9.0.8 on all devices.  I am confused as to the order I am supposed to go in when it comes to the different devices and the content updates.

For example, I have updated Panorama to 9.0.7.  (I realize now that I should have gone to 9.0.6, but at the time I did not know I was supposed to do that - I read conflicting opinions.)  Should my next step be to do content updates on Panorama or go ahead and update the associated firewalls to 9.0.7?

@amy.hazelwood ,

I would recommend you,

1. First have all the latest updates like anti-virus, threats etc installed on all Managed devices and Panorama.

2. As your target version is 9.0.8 and current is 9.0.5 then you can directly upgrade Panorama first to 9.0.8 version directly.

3. Once your Panorama is on desired target version i.e. 9.0.8 then you can one-by-one upgrade managed devices to 9.0.8.

Hope it helps!
