Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew exactly how the "forward" action for Wildfire worked.
Does it forward the file to Wildfire and then disallow the user to access that file, or does it forward it and allow it to pass through for the user to access the file?
Thanks!
Jared

If the action seen is 'Forward' in the logs, it implies we have already seen the file and this will not be forwarded to the cloud. The user will be able to download the file if its benign.
This document explains the different actions related to the logs:

Hi,
'forward' actually does not forwarding anything and allows traffic.
Following flow chart might help your understanding.
Additionally, if you see 'wildfire-upload-success' or 'wildfire-upload-skip',
the device upload files and the traffic will be passed.
After retrieving wildfire signature, you can block same file by configuring as 'block' in antivirus profile.
