Would PANOS support TGC's IF-MAP protocol?

Not applicable

Hi,

Testing some Automation environments, we would like to use IF-MAP protocol in order to set an scenario where setting a new Virtual Machine (ESX) will trigger an automatic network devices configuration task to allow traffic and security.  This include firewalling.

So far I've read that switching / routing is covered for most vendors, but I'm missing PaloAlto information.

Would it be a develop to support IF-MAP?

Thanks in advance

Hi Luis,

I'm sorry to say that the last I heard we had no plans to support IF-MAP. However, I would highly suggest that you contact your local Palo Alto Networks sales engineer and discuss this with him. If anyone is able to get new features or new things supported, it's the SEs. Just because we don't support it now, doesn't mean we won't in the future if we have customers asking for it.

Thanks,

Jason Seals

Hi Luis,

As Jason mentioned, we currently do not suppot this protocol.

If you asking about App-ID coverage for this protocol you can submit a new app request here:

Thanks,
