Globalprotect Client 6.2.7 disconnects multiple times

L0 Member

We are encountering several users, where Globalprotect disconnects the GP-tunnel on Windows 11. In PanGPS.log I found the messages:

CheckPanGpAgentThread: PanGPA process #### exits, ret is 00000057. and

GlobalProtect agent terminates unexpectedly. Skip StopThreads().

Has anybody a suggestion, how to get rid of this failure?

@halladm,

The log doesn't really point to root cause, it just supports the service identifying that the agent was terminated.  You'll want to review the PanGPA.log file to see if there's any indication of an issue with the agent process. A couple basic questions would be if you were previously running 6.2.7 without any issues, and whether these users have any shared software requirements that differ from your typical deployment.

There are no corresponding messages in the PanGPA.log file. But in PanGPS.log there is always the message: "read() failed: 10054." in the same second. Typically the surrounding messages in PanGPS.log look like:

(P6428-T17404)Debug( 144): 05/04/26 10:55:09:650 CheckPanGpAgentThread: PanGPA process 2128 exits, ret is 00000057.
(P6428-T17404)Debug( 152): 05/04/26 10:55:09:650 GlobalProtect agent terminates unexpectedly. Skip StopThreads().
(P6428-T10724)Error( 398): 05/04/26 10:55:09:700 read() failed: 10054
(P6428-T10724)Info ( 226): 05/04/26 10:55:09:700 Error processing receive data from client
(P6428-T10724)Info ( 235): 05/04/26 10:55:09:700 close client socket
