GlobalProtect: Configure Portal for Windows App Store Install

L0 Member

Hello I'm looking to see if there is an equivalent to the command line value Portal when installing GlobalProtect via the Windows App Store. I have looked through alot of documentation and came up empty handed.

For some background we used an .intunewin package and the command line switch "msiexec.exe /I GlobalProtect.msi /qn /promptrestart Portal={PortalAddress}.com" to install GlobalProtect via Microsoft Intune however this requires us to manually recreate the package after each update, and push it out.

We would like to install GlobalProtect via the Windows App Store since it would be kept up to date automatically, however I cannot seem to find a way to configure our portal with this deployment method so users do not have to enter the portal. Many other apps, such as ServiceNow have an App Configuration Policy option, this allows you to change settings like your Instance URL (portal) much like what we are wanting to do here. Is there something equivalent to that for Global Protect?

oops... Looks like I found the answer to my question as it is done a little differently than other apps. Here is a link if anyone else has the same questions.
