Greetings all. CentOS 8 user is unable to run globalprotect from the CLI; gets "Cannot connect to local gpd service." The PanGPA process never starts for the user, either automatically or manually. In user's PanGPI.log, the errors are:
Info (687): debug thread starts
Info (211): #############Run GPI into prompt mode.###############
Error (80): CPanMsgQueue::create - failed to open message queue. error = 2
Error (50): ConnectToGPA fail with error 2.
Info (693): debug thread ends
This occurs with both GlobalProtect v 5.3.4 and v 6.1.1.
The strange thing is that when I log into the same machine, PanGPA runs just fine, and I can run the client without issue.
I see nothing in the user's profile, home directory, or profile variables to suggest anything amiss.
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
