Semi-Disable Global Protect on Mac

L0 Member

I have a work MacBook Pro, that our IT department have installed GlobalProtect on, which sits in the menu bar

I use the (greyedout) icon to log in to use it when I work away from the network, however, when i am connected to the work wifi network (or am docked) it keeps popping up the NOT CONNECTED window, meaning that as I am typing, that text goes into the poral field automatically, which is super annoying.

I dont want to close it down (i cant anyway) but is there any way to stop it popping up automatically?

Thank you

@ab0166,

This is an issue with the latest agent that you're not really going to be able to fix if you don't have administrative permissions on the device in question. That said, this is something that your GlobalProtect administrators can fix very easily if they just enabled a feature called internal host detection. There's no immediate solution for you outside of that however, and nothing that you'll be able to handle yourself.
