Dear and valuable Live Community Members,
One of our customers came to us with some questions in regard to the issues he is facing with the missing "Reset Password" option on the Sign-in screen at the start of Windows OS after installing the Global Protect agent on the endpoint.
The customer is rolling out sspr, and uses the GP agent with always-on VPN before that normally end users could see the "reset password" on the windows start screen.
We've tested and confirmed that the same issue is happening on different GP versions, but nothing can be found on the firewall.
All the affected endpoints are running on Windows 10 and 11 version 21h2, and the Global protect Agent version 6.0.3-38.
Please refer to the below screenshots to see the problem the customer is facing.
The normal situation (Without GP installed on the endpoint😞
And the issue (After installing the GP agent on the endpoint😞
As it looks the GP installation is responsible and affecting the Windows OS by making some changes in regard to the info displayed on the login screen. But we really do not understand how it could be happening and how to fix it.
Could it be a Windows-related issue?
Have anyone faced a similar issue before?
Could you please kindly help us to find a solution for this?
We will appreciate your help and guidance with the above queries. And please let me know if that's something we should be asking the TAC.
Thank you in advance!
Cheers!
