I'm working overseas. If I use Wi-Fi, I have trouble connecting to the PaloAlto global protection VPN, but if I use a hotspot(my roaming cellphone - Mint mobile), I am able to connect to it.
When I use Wi-Fi, the internet works, but I can’t access to my company shared folder because the VPN is not connected.
I’ve tried several different Wi-Fi networks – Hotel, public, home Wi-Fi… but none of them work.
How can I fix this problem?

Hey @Kayyyy , If you’re able to connect to GlobalProtect over a mobile hotspot but not on Wi-Fi, that strongly suggests the Wi-Fi network is blocking or interfering with the connection to your GlobalProtect portal or gateway.
I would check a couple of things:
1. Verify whether the Wi-Fi network is blocking the traffic
Contact whoever manages the Wi-Fi and ask if outbound VPN traffic is restricted. Some hotels, cafés, or public networks block or throttle VPN protocols.
2. Check the GlobalProtect portal/gateway traffic logs
Look at the firewall logs for attempts coming from the public IP assigned by the Wi-Fi.
Do you see traffic from that IP hitting the portal? if not, then the wifi network you are connected to is interfering with the traffic.
