Increasing config size beyond max reccomended values 450s

Hi I have a customer who is getting the following alert on their Palo Alto PA-450 on 11.1.13, I believe these alerts have come about with new features on 11.1. 

To try and clear error we have set to the max recommended configuration file size per this article for the model.

Been through all these steps and massively reduced size down yet it stays the same value generating the alert for over 90%:

Now I have personally increased size for 800s with other customers to address the issue and seen PAN also recommend this via this article which clears the alert.

My question is could I implement this with lower models such as the 400s? Has anyone ever implemented this workaround?
