Interface migration to fiber over SFP 10G

L0 Member

Hello team,

I have a Palo Alto 3220 cluster that is connected to a CORE switch over ethernet and I need to migrate that connection to fiber over SFP 10G converter.

I am trying to define a procedure to migrate with no downtime and I had thought to start with the standby node, suspending this node for HA, dehabilitating the link monitoring interface and once the fiber is connected make the HA node active again and enable the new interface to link monitoring.

My question is, could there be any problems with HA by having one interface over ethernet and another on fiber?

Thanks in advance!

Hello @ALDIAZEG ,

If you're using a fibre converter, there should be no difference from the NGFW's perspective between the interfaces.
