Hello,
I am having a problem accessing the Palo Alto cli/web.
I recently took the trial version of 30 days, but I always come across the following message when trying to log in.
"cfg.general.need-acknowledgement-to-login' no_matches".
I've left more than 30 minutes on and always the same message. I'm trying to log in with username and password: "admin"
The version I'm on is PA-VM-ESX-10.2.5.
Thank you very much.

Hello @eax0x01 ,
You need to wait for the "PA-VM Login:" prompt before the login will work -> https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000CloQCAS. The NGFW is still booting.
Thanks,
Tom

I left on for 30 minutes on and did not leave this screen, is this normal delay?
Thank you very much for your reply.

I will leave it a while longer and see if I can make progress.
Thank you in advance for your support.

I waited more than 3 hours and the problem persists.
What else could be happening?

Hi @eax0x01 ,
That is very strange.
I'm sure you have already done this, but have you hit enter a few times?
If that doesn't do it, i would double check your VM install process.
Thanks,
Tom

Thank you for your reply.
I made a video with all the process to upload the VM with PA.
Could you tell me if there is something wrong in the process?
Thank you.

Hello Eax,
As Tom said, it is only during the first VM bootup.
And (disclaimer :I don't have access to the code) I think it is only a check to kick the default password change at the first bootup.
Nothing wrong, in my opinion.

Hello @ozheng,
I left it on that boot screen for over 6 hours and no progress.
I even reset to factory defaults and nothing.
I think the problem is not this.
Thank you

I spin up some VM yesterday and I saw the error message, it did not block my VM.
1- redownload an VM image from the CSP and check the integrity.
2- try to set a VM on another machine and see how it goes.
But the "cfg.general.need-acknowledgement-to-login' no_matches" can be ignored (99% confident it is not the reason of your VM issue).

Hello @ozheng,
I tried the same process on my laptop VM and got the same problem.
I made a video with the process, could you tell me if there is something wrong in the process?

I am using VMware® Workstation 17 Pro.
Thank you very much for your support.

Can you redownload the image from the Customer Support Portal (assuming you have an account and a valid support plan)?
Once down, you check the checksum of the downloaded file with the checksum displayed on the CSP.
