PAN v11 "service route configuration" change

L0 Member

I recently discovered there has been a change to the PAN-OS and no articles to show the change

  • Recently there was a need to move out services route away from the mgmt port

I follow the traditional steps: locating the services I needed to redirect and specified the port I needed them on
Added the SecPol rule and varified that the NAT was correct.

  • When I click "Check Now" the console would just spin until it eventually timed out after about 10-15 min

After about 24hrs of search the web for anything different and testing random configurations
I discovered you have to specify the destination update URL and the source have to be specified

  • I also found that you don't need the SecPol rule anymore

I mostly just wanted to post this so someone else doesn't get stuck like I did and waste a day troubleshooting

Hi @KDawson639 ,

Thanks for sharing. Could you also include the link to the doc that you followed so I may forward it to the appropriate team?
