Current system disk is already migrated. Cannot migrate again.

L1 Bithead

We are in the process of updating our Pano VM from legacy to Panorama mode and firmware versions. One of the requirements was to move to an 81GB system disk from a 52GB. We've completed that process and moved to Panorama mode.

Since we have the VM storage space, we are looking to migrate to a 224GB drive. Running the command (

request system clone-system-disk target sdc) results in the following error message:

Current system disk is already migrated. Cannot migrate again.

Running "show system disk details" shows:

Name   : sdc

State  : Present

Size   : 229376 MB

Status : Unavailable

Reason : Admin disabled

Trying to change the admin to enabled results in "

Disk sdc must be of size 2.0 TB or higher"

Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Forgot about this post. I contacted Palo and they said we need to be on >=9.1 before attempting this. Once we moved to the preferred 9.1 release, the system drive upgrade worked.

Hi

Need assistance with this.

model: Panorama
vm-mode: VMware ESXi
sw-version: 10.1.5-h1

Issue:

Name : sdc
State : Present
Size : 2097152 MB
Status : Unavailable
Reason : Admin disabled

ERROR: Could not add the disk because the existing disk is less than 2TB. In order to use multiple disks in panorama mode, all disks must be 2TB or larger. To proceed, replace the existing disk with a larger disk.
