Export named Panorama configuration snapshot Meaning when Device groups and templates are selected

L1 Bithead

I'm a bit confused on what "Save named Panorama configuration snapshot" and "Export named Panorama configuration snapshot" do when the box is checked for device groups & templates.

It appears that when I export without checking any template or device groups, that only the Panorama menu config & shared settings under objects/policy is exported.

But when I select the templates and device groups during the export, it appears that it ONLY exports the device groups & templates, but not the Panorama settings and shared settings.

Am I correct with my assumptions? Also, what is the easiest way to export the entire Panorama configuration, that includes Panorama settings, shared settings, and all device group/templates. I need a simple way to revert back to both my templates/device groups and Panorama settings at the same time.

if you "save named configuration" and  "export named configuration snapshot" without selecting anything, the entire config should be exported

but if you 'save' while selecting templates or device groups, this will impact the output when you export that file, even when you don't select anything while exporting
