Panorama System Logs

L2 Linker

Very short retention period for Panorama system logs. Panorama is in Management-Only, but the system logs for Panorama only go back 6 days. We have dedicated log collectors that should be handling the firewall logs. below is the output of 

 

show system logdb-quota. Can somebody help me with this issue.

 

Quotas:

system: 25.00%, 8.000 GB Expiration-period: 1000 days

config: 30.00%, 9.600 GB Expiration-period: 1000 days

hip-reports: 1.00%, 0.320 GB Expiration-period: 1000 days

appstat: 35.00%, 11.200 GB Expiration-period: 1000 days

 

Disk usage:

system: Logs and Indexes: 8.5GB Current Retention: 6 days

config: Logs and Indexes: 1.7GB Current Retention: 582 days

appstatdb: Logs and Indexes: 11.5GB Current Retention: 23 days

hip-reports: Logs and Indexes: 0 Current Retention: 0 days

Hello @sskannan

 

by first look the 8GB quota allocation for system logs is not a lot. Could you check whether you have any un-allocated disk space for log collectors under: Panorama > Collector Groups > [Log Collector Group name] > General > Log Storage, then down under "Total", could you check whether there is anything under "Free"? If yes, could you allocated it under: Infrastructure and Audit Logs? If you make this change do not forget to push it to log collectors.
