Possible to disassociate global snippets from SCM? (Total number of security profiles exceed platform capactity)

L1 Bithead

Hi everyone,

for lab purposes I set up a VM-50 eval instance, onboarded it to Strata Cloud Manager and tried to do the first push.

The initial push couldn't be completed, throwing the error:

Error: Total number of security profiles (47) exceeds platform capacity (38)

I tried to remove the default global snippets from the config, which comes up with the error

Snippet cannot be dissociated as other snippets are referencing it via cross scope functionality

From my understanding this means that the out of the box SCM config isn't VM-50 viable.

Am I missing something? Does this work as intended? If yes, is there a workaround to push the default config to VM-50 or do I have to provision bigger license ones?

Hi @M.Schapdick ,

It sounds like you need to disassociate other snippets which are using variables from the global snippet before you can disassociate the global snippet.  You could try disassociating all the snippets, and see if that works.

Thanks,

Tom
