D-NAT Not Working in PA-VM Workstation

Hi,

 

I have deployed PA-VM in workstation, In this the Destination NAT is not working. 

 

As per the global counter the packet is dropped on the below counters,

 

Session discarded: unknown application to control plane

Did you google the error?

 

By googling it I see the error https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000ClGpCAK (Captive Portal Redirect to Loopback Interface is Not Working). This sounds like the palo alto not being able to return a response page (this is why the error says "to control plane" as Palo Alto is trying to reply) for some reason so check your config https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/11-0/pan-os-web-interface-help/device/device-response-pages

 

Also check if SSL decryption is enabled as if you are trying to serve response page for HTTPS traffic it may also trigger this and check that you have anabled response pages under the interface managment profile for the client side facing interface. See:
