How do I access init-cfg.txt

L0 Member

Per the advisory "Update to Additional PAN-OS Certificate Expirations and New, Comprehensive Certificate Management Process" I am supposed to edit the init-cfg.txt file but I do not know where to find this file nor how to access it.

I have checked the extensions-applications on the VM but there is nothing there. I checked the resource group and I cannot find the storage account that hosts this file, if there is one?

Can anyone provide guidance on how to complete this task? The documentation fails to give steps on how to do it and I am at a loss...

Hi @A.Berger440591 ,

init-cfg.txtfile is located in “config” folder in S3 bucket as per this KB:

PA-VM deployed in AWS does not get any settings specified in “init-cfg.txt”

In order to create one:

create-the-init-cfgtxt-file

Hope this helps,
