Define rules for allow/block user access to social media platform / Instant messager

L0 Member

Dear PA lover,

We have the use case to allow / block user try to access social media platform.

1. Is it possible to allow/block by specific user or User group like FB, YouTube?

2. Can allow limit time management access or short time?

3. Does PA Proxy have visibility to block user try to access IM ( TG both Apps/Web portal)?

4. In case user have permission using TG or other Instant Messager. Does PA Proxy can block when user try transfer file / upload files to others? or block download?

Thanks,

Hi @Atada.ICS ,

You can allow/block access to specific platforms such as FB/YT/any website and platform. To do so, you can look into User-ID. You can also apply a schedule to your security policies. You might explicitly deny traffic to social networks/entertainment and can create a security policy that momentarily allows access to whichever sites you want to filter on.
