Panmanager API tool free for use

L1 Bithead

Hi,

sharing a tool I wrote for object/rule/route configuration.

A bit like odumper/ofiller if you know those tools.

Thanks for this contribution Simon. I can see all the work you put into it.

From the readme it's a little unclear how to get started.  Can you add a few steps to help people run it the first time, and the PAN-OS versions you know it works with?

Thanks again!  Great work!

Thanks for sharing. Like btorresgil said, the readme isn't very descriptive but I think the first comment in the source definitely is. It seems there are some dependencies (like https://github.com/PaloAltoNetworks/pandevice), so it may be helpful to share this in the README. Honestly just replacing the README with a copy of your original comment or some subset of it would be awesome.

Hi, thanks for commenting.

I've edited the files now into a readme, sample and format explanation.

Cheers,

Simon

Hi,

I've updated this tool to v1.2 which now supports renaming of objects as well as collecting zone information from connected assets.

Why waste money on expensive firewall management tools when you can script basic functionality for free?

Cheers,

Simon
