Frequently Asked Questions:

Changes in accessing IoT Security Dashboards

New Customers: Starting mid-June 2025, new customers will access IoT Security exclusively through  Strata Cloud Manager and will not have access to the standalone IoT portal.

Existing Customers: Existing customers will have access to IoT Security in Strata Cloud Manager starting July 2025. They can continue to use their standalone IoT portal until its estimated phase-out between August and October 2025.

Licensing and Cost

There are no additional costs associated with accessing IoT Security in  Strata Cloud Manager. As long as you maintain a valid IoT Security license (Enterprise Plus, Industrial, or Medical), you will be able to access IoT Security in  Strata Cloud Manager. Furthermore, every IoT Security customer will automatically have SCM Essentials (the free SCM version) activated. Both IoT RDL and DRDL licenses continue to be supported.

Firewall Management

Regardless of your firewall management platform (Panorama or Strata Cloud Manager), IoT Security customers will access their IoT Security pages/dashboards in Strata Cloud Manager. You may continue to manage your NGFWs via Panorama.

SSO Authentication and Authorization

For authentication, if you're using PANW SSO, no action is needed.

If you're using a Third-Party IDP for authentication and  Identity and Access Management (IAM) for authorization, you'll need to follow specific instructions to enable your 3P IDP via common services.

If you are using a Third-Party IDP for authentication and  AD Group mapping for authorization, IoT in Strata Cloud Manager is planned for a later release.
