Hello @C.Brozzett ,

Greetings for the day.

Yes, a PC can be scanned and investigated directly from the Cortex XDR console.

  • On-Demand Malware Scan: Trigger a full system scan from Action Center or Endpoints → All Endpoints → Security Operations → Initiate Malware Scan.

  • Live Terminal: Provides real-time access to investigate processes, files, network connections, logs, and run commands.

  • Remote Scripts: Run diagnostic or data-collection scripts remotely when deeper investigation is required.

  • Local Scan: If console access is unavailable, use cytool scan start on the endpoint or right-click a file/folder and select Scan with Cortex XDR.

In short: Use Malware Scan for a full scan, Live Terminal for investigation, and cytool/local scan when working directly on the PC.
