Broker vm only for network mapper

L2 Linker

Hi all,

is it possible to use a broker vm just for network mapper without using it as a real broker vm?

I don't need to modify my Cortex installation way of working, I just want to scan my network for missing cortex installation.

Thanks

Hi @N2Z2 ,

Thank you for writing to live community!

Broker VM applets are independent on functionality from each other and agent proxy is one of them while network mapper being another. As a result you can use broker VM for any used cases as per your choice.

Eg. many customers use broker VM just for log collection using Syslog collector and not agent proxy or network mapper tools as they have their hard proxies defined and NMAP vulnerability assessment tools outside Cortex.

Hope this helps!
