Installing Cortex Agent on Linux LXD

L0 Member

Hello everyone,

I am looking to install the Cortex Agent on a Linux system within an LXD container. Does anyone have insights or a step-by-step guide on how to install the Cortex Agent in this environment?
Additionally, is Cortex officially supported for installation on Linux LXD?

Thank you,
Amelia

Hello @aspatil

Thanks a lot for your response!
I’d like to understand what’s the reason LXD containers aren’t officially supported by Cortex XDR?
Is there a way to submit a feature request to Palo Alto for this?
Also, do you happen to have any workaround or solution for environments running LXD containers?
Appreciate your help!

Thanks,
Amelia

Dear @aspatil

i have another question as well.

Does this cortex XDR support or compatible installation on an LXD virtual machine?

Thanks,

Hi @h.nugraha ,

Please check the compatibility matrix to confirm where you can install the Cortex XDR agent:
