fatal Error during ensure repo

L0 Member

Hi everyone,

I am facing a strange issue. I was trying to change the certificate like explained in this link https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/cortex/cortex-xsoar/6-1/cortex-xsoar-admin/installation/post-insta...

But after I did the restart, cortex XSOAR does not work anymore and I have this single error which I cannot understand

fatal Error during ensure repo (10040) (source: /builds/gopath/src/github.com/demisto/server/server.go:919)

Putting the old certificate and key in place does not change anything.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

Thanks!

that error usually indicates issues with the permissions in /var/lib/demisto either in partitionsdata or demistoidx, can you please verify that all the files have demisto:demisto permissions?

Unfortunately all files in /var/lib/demisto have demisto:demisto permission

have you tried deleting the cert.pem and the cert.key? XSOAR will generate a new self-sign one if there is none present under /usr/local/demisto

yes already tried it, but same error and no cert.pem or cert.key generated

How do we verify if all files have demisto:demisto permission?

Is this issue resolved? I have the same problem and don't see any permissions issue.

In case anyone else runs across this issue, we have found that you can resolve this by reindexing the DB - https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/cortex/cortex-xsoar/6-9/cortex-xsoar-admin/manage-data/reindex-the...
