Does Cortex XDR blocks ping requests?

Hi All,

Does Cortex XDR block ping requests from other machines within the same subnet or from another subnet if allowed on network? Pls note that "Host firewall" module is not enabled on the agents.

If host firewall is not enabled Cortex XDR will not block inbound ping.

It would be very difficult to say just by the behaviour. You can try to disable Cortex XDR protection on the endpoint and observe if the issue is reproduced. On the Cortex XDR endpoint administration, select the endpoint you are facing issue with and right click on the endpoint>Endpoint Control> Pause Endpoint Protection . Once the endpoint protection is paused, you can try reproducing the issue, If the issue is observed again, then it is isolated that Cortex should not be the root cause of the issue. GTA Portal Walmart
