Is there any work being done to make this available in the Azure Marketplace?

No plans at this time to offer Expedtiion in the Azure marketplace. You can look at converting the Expedition OVA to VHD format to upload to Azure if your goal is to run Expedition in Azure. This conversion (OVA to VHD) has not been fully tested so I cannot say if this will work or not.
