Can't get a route

L2 Linker

I have new Palos that I didn't set up myself.  I created the interfaces and added OSPF.  Network team says they can't get a route for a network.  Tried everything I know.  Suggestions?

@amy.hazelwood,

  • Same area ID?
  • Correctly setup Range specification and setup for advertisement?
  • Is one end using authentication and the other isn't?
  • Intervals are setup correctly?
  • intrazone policy hasn't been modified and traffic is being allowed.

That's what I would check first because they are the easiest things to verify. If that isn't the source of the issue you can look at the routed.log file with 'less mp-log routed.log' or 'tail follow yes mp-log routed.log' to see what the logs are saying.

So it turns out the links provided to me by the person who set these up were switched - I was putting the OSPF information on the passive FW instead of the active FW.  I did check the information you provided before I realized the error.  Thanks so much!
