Clearing files to create space.

L3 Networker

My PA200 is complaining about 10% space.

pa200> show system files

/var/cores/:
total 4.9M
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 652K Apr 24 20:21 core.20803
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 652K May 17 13:44 core.17902
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4.0K Jun 1 03:16 crashinfo
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3.2M Jun 1 03:30 l3svc_7.0.6_0.tar.gz
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 652K Aug 13 07:51 core.9258
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 652K Sep 6 08:21 core.3479
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 652K Sep 9 08:53 core.16281

I should be able to delete l3svc_7.0.6_0.tar.gz file.

I have also deleted *.1 ,*.2,*.3 and *.old files.

Hi,

It is common for PA-200.

> show system disk-space

Few suggestions you could try in the above article. Only TAC has access to the root partition, but all others you can access and clear some files.

Thx,

Myky

Hi

As a Myky said - its common - or was common.

Since I was upgrade my PA200 to 7.0.9 my problems gone - I recomendate upgrade for You.

PANOS 7.0.9 has a lot fixes for PA200. One of them is fix for root partition and lack of resources for AV updates.

Slawek

You mention your firewall is complaining, what kind of complaint are you seeing exactly?

if it's complaining only/less than 10% of log space is available, you may want to change your alarm treshold as the logDB will automatically fill up till about 90-95% before old logs are deleted (and from that moment on the db will always be filled 90-95%)
