Commit Failed

L0 Member

Hello ,

I am using a Palo Alto PA-5220 running software version 10.2.11-h12, and I am currently experiencing an issue with Commit Failed and Dynamic Updates.

For the Antivirus/Threats dynamic updates, I have configured the schedule to Download, and the download completes successfully. However, the update is not being installed automatically.

Could you please advise on the recommended troubleshooting steps and possible solutions for this issue?

I have already checked the system resources, and everything appears to be normal.

The firewalls are configured in an HA (High Availability) pair. However, only one firewall is experiencing this issue, while the other firewall is working normally.

Could you please advise why this might be happening on only one firewall and what logs or settings I should check to identify the root cause?

Thank you.

Hello @Karaked

thanks for post and sorry to hear you are facing an issue! The GUI does not provide enough details to narrow down the root cause. As a next step I would recommend to get logs from CLI.  Here is the KB for reference: How to identify the commit failure reason when no error message is displayed in the GUI. Could you also make sure you are not running our of disk space by checking: "show system disk-space".

Kind Regards

Pavel
