Disk Space: Does PAN self-cleanup disk space

L0 Member

Any one know if PAN self-cleanup disk space if it reaches certain amount of space? Is yes, what type of files will be auto-deleted?

Hi

the /opt/panlogs partition, where the logs are contained, has a cleanup mechanism on the log database that will automatically prune old logs when disk space is nearly at capacity.

The other partitions have an automatic rollover of system log files

The/opt/panrepo partition contains all the downloaded software and content packages, which you can manually clean via the GUI or CLI:

> delete software version
> delete content
> delete anti-virus update
> delete url-database
> delete wildfire update

The other partitions contain configuration files and operating system files and will not require cleanup in most cases. In case the root partition does fill up, this is usually caused by not removing manual packetcaptures or generating core files

> delete debug-filter file
> delete core
