L2 Linker

Can we get a widget that shows status and performance metrics of user and ipsec vpns? Status is hard to find (and not on one pane), and there are no performance metrics at all.

Hi @cengasser

we can't process Feature Requests through the discussion forum

I'd recommend you reach out to a local sales team, they can submit a feature request for you

If you then share the FR number here, other members can add a vote (by reaching out to their sales terams and letting them know they want to add a vote) 😉

thanks!

@cengasser in lue of waiting for the FR to be accepted/implemented you might try integrating tracking the MIB for the DP CPU.

The OID is 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.2 and 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.3 / MIB - HOST-RESOURCES-MIB / Description - CPU load average over last 60 seconds.

What are you looking for specifically regarding the "performance" on VPN?  I might be able to get you an applicable OID.

Note...I think these are for PAN-OS 6.0 so if you're running 6.1 / 7.0 / 7.1 These might not be 100% accurate.

Specifically:

#s of connected GP clients

#s of connected IPSEC tunnels

Bandwidth of individual connected IPSEC tunnels, or knowing the OID for bandwidth on the palo untrusted interface would be just as useful.

The Palo UI is seemingly short on perf monitors.

I think this might be what you're looking for.
