Global Protect, Win 10 drive mapping issues

L2 Linker

Hello all,

Just throwing this out there to see if anyone has seen similar issues.  Over the last 6 months we have been having intermittent drive mapping issues on clients that have Global Protect installed.

All the clients have Win 10 on them and we have global protect 5.0.5 installed.

The drives are mapped using group policy and in trying to get some answers from Microsoft we haven't gotten anywhere.

Has anyone else run into this issue with clients on Win 10 using global protect?

Also, we have Global Protect set up with Pre-Logon always-On, with Internal Host Detection but no internal gateways.  External Portal and Gateway share IP.

Thank you,

-Dustin

Have you configured your Primary DNS/WINS and DNS Suffix

We have configured both primary and secondary DNS servers as well as suffix's.

Have you verified that the pre-logon connection is getting established by checking the Windows login screen, or the list of connected users in the portal?  I had some similar issues for awhile where the pre-logon connection was unreliable.  It ended up being caused by the authentication settings under PortalName > Agent > Pre-LogonConfigName > Authentication.  In my experience, if you have any of the options to save user credentials, generate cookie, or accept cookie enabled for the pre-logon user, it actually creates a lot of pre-logon connection failures.

Hi Dustin - did you ever figure this out?
