Gp Configuration

Hello Friends,

We want to  configure our Remote VPN (Global Protect ) on two ISP and  we should be able to  manually switch the gateway at client end and no Lic is required for that?. Please suggest.

Satish

With multiple gateway you need portal license.

What you could do for free is create multiple gateways and based on user/group assign different gateways to different users/groups.

HI Raido,

My concern is only for 2 ISP. suppose my primary isp goes down at  a time user should be able to connect thru secondary ISP.

hi satish,

PANOS 7, new license structure: "To simplify  GlobalProtect licenses , a portal license is no longer required to enable internal gateway support, multiple gateways (internal or external), and/or HIP checks. This enables you to use GlobalProtect to provide a secure, remote access or virtual private network (VPN) solution via a single or multiple external gateways, without any GlobalProtect licenses."

So no license is required for your installation!

Checked v7 release notes and you are right.

Portal license is deprecated now Smiley Happy
