try reinstalling your GlobalProtect client 'as administrator'
possibly your user account was not allowed to install the appropriate drivers for GP

No use. The client is NOT working.
Tried to reinstall as different user.
Tried on three different laptops.
I give-up.

Finally I solved this issue just by coincidence.
I was having troubles with VMware network adapters, and found on a forum that the vpn endpoint from checkpoint are not compatible with vmware network adapters.
Afer uninstalling the endpoint, the problem with Vmware was solved and also this issue with the driver with GP agent.
If you have another vpn endpoints you should try this.
Hope this can be useful for you. Regards.
